This film takes its name from an activist group fighting for trans-liberation: the right to express sex or gender in any way you choose and fighting against gender oppression, harassment, discrimination, verbal and physical violence and suicide. It’s a moving, informative, honest and empowering documentary. We meet many diverse transgendered, both male-to-female and female-to-male. We hear their voices: their dreams, mistakes, defeats, survival, self-realization and growth. We glimpse their complex relationships and lives. Some get hooked into the beauty myth and use multiple cosmetic surgery to achieve their dreams. Some are happy being women with penises or men without. And we learn more about clitoral enlargement, vaginal contruction and phalloplasty.
